Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) has today announced details of its latest partnership signing, with Air China. The partnership sees the Expedia hotel product offering available for booking through Air China points of sale across 27 markets globally.
EAN secured the partnership following a competitive pitch, winning praise for its ability to customise its white label solution across multiple markets, integrating into the look, feel and languages of the Air China sites.
The size and scale of the organisation enables EAN to offer Air China booking access to the largest global hotel product offering at the best prices, both in popular and emerging destinations; with the current EAN hotel product offering numbering in excess of 100,000. To aide ease of booking for Air China users, the majority of the content will be localised across the 27 points of sale, with Expedia also providing local language customer service centre support in most markets.
This exclusive deal marks the first time that Air China has worked with a white label partner to provide accommodation options through their global points of sale (excluding China which will continue to contract directly with hotels). Thanks to the new partnership, customers across 27* markets including, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Singapore, the UK and USA, will now be able to make hotel bookings at the same time as purchasing their flights.
Mr. Jia Tie Sheng, Managing Director Sales, Air China, comments, “We are constantly reviewing the functionality of www.airchina.com to ensure that we are offering our international web customers in each market online products that are relevant to their needs. It was a natural choice for us to sign the partnership with EAN as they were able to offer us a superior global hotel product that was integrated in record time with our existing web sites. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership between Air China and EAN that benefits our customers”
Jens Uwe Parkitny, Managing Director, EAN APAC, comments, “The scope of the deal with Air China is testament to Expedia’s comprehensive hotel product and ability to tailor its white label solution. We worked closely with Air China to ascertain their business and customer needs, and offer a solution that could bring a significant increase in incremental customers and revenue. The ease of integration and usability of the white label interface is one of our key selling points and is the reason we were able to reach this point with Air China. We look forward to working with them to see this partnership develop.”
